Financial, Insurance and Benefits Programs
IKC acts to establish programs and products designed specifically for charities and not-for-profit organizations. The design, structure and activities of these programs or products are decided upon in consultation with an industry partner who tailors existing programs or products to best fit the needs of our members.
For many charities and not-for-profit organizations, finding financial products (such as low-limit credit cards or lines of credit), insurance products (such as policies that cover the Board for liability) and benefit programs (such as those that allow volunteers or single-employee organizations to offer benefits) is very difficult.
Below is a listing of the current programs IKC has established as well as brief detail on other programs we are working on for our members.
Financial Programs
In Kind Canada is currently in consultation with a number of financial insitutions around the challenges faced by smaller charities and not-for-profit organizations with banking offerings. Our goal is to have a program in place with a major financial insitution by summer of 2009 that will make it easier for our members to gain access to the financial services they require.
Insurance Programs
Breckles Insurance Brokers Limited
Breckles Insurance Brokers Limited. Every charity should protect themselves, staff and directors with liability insurance. For agencies in Ontario the D&O coverage is now mandatory. This program offers both general and D&O coverage. By combining both of your policies your savings will be even higher.
The cost savings can be significant, In Kind Canada recently renewed both its general liability and director's liability insurance and saved more than $300 over the old policies!
This benefit is available to every IKC member - please contact Breckles for more details.
